After breakfast we went to a nice park to take a walk. Mom and Dad really seemed to enjoy our walk, they were talking and holding hands. Their smiles were as big as the sun. Christian decided to play soccer with a nice group of boys.
“Bye Christian, Be careful! We’ll be back in about 15 minutes,” My mom told Christian before we left. Liliana and I practiced our leaps and twirls on the grass next to the sidewalk. Lil even helped me go over the steps to our dance. On our walk we saw the cutest little German Shepard puppy. When we finished our walk mom sent us to go get Christian and then come back to the car. We found Christian and the rest of the boys at the field next to the playground.
When we got back to the car he told us:
“Turns out one of the boys I was playing soccer with is also from Springfield. His older sister is in the competition. We exchanged phone numbers. We said we’d call each other when we get home,”
“That sounds very nice Christian. It’s good that you made a new friend,” Mom replied.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a beauty store to get some blush for our stage makeup. Dad and Christian stayed in the car. They had no interest in makeup. We asked the clerk where we could find it. When we got to the section where it all was mom got out the list of stage makeup we were required to wear. Here’s what was on the list:
☑Black Mascara
𝥷Blush, brushed from the apple of the cheek to the ear
☑Natural eye makeup a few shades (2-4) darker than skin tone
☑Lipstick, no gel! Ask the teacher what color depending on your costume
☑Pancake makeup- concealer, foundation, powder
Note from the studio: we require your dancer to wear this makeup so we can see their lovely faces under the stage lights.
The girls families got this list and a hair list and the boys got a different list. We picked out the blush and brought it to the checkout counter.
“Good morning Ma’am, how are you today?” the clerk asked.
“Good thank you,” mom replied.
“Will this be all for you today?” she asked
“Yes,”
*BEEP* the clerk handed the bag to us and we were on our way. Once we got back to the car dad started to drive back to the hotel.
