After the game Mom and Dad said they wanted a little bit of adult time, so Christian, Lil, and I went into our room and closed the door. We decided to practice our dance and Christian was our judge.
“It might look a little funky because not everyone is here.” I told him. While Christian looked up the music online Liliana and I got changed into better dancing clothes- but not our actual costumes, we did not want to ruin them.-
“Bittersweet Symphony, Correct?” Christian asked.
“Yep that’s the song!” I replied.
He turned up the music and we got in our positions. We were midway through our dance when I fell. I had hit my ankle on the desk. I fell on the floor, my ankle was throbbing under my sock. Christian jumped out of his seat to help me. Liliana knocked on my parents door and they hurried in.
“I’m going to run downstairs to the ice machine and get some for your ankle!” Mom told me. I tried to nod.
By the time Mom came back from downstairs Dad had helped me onto the bed and my ankle was starting to hurt less. Mom gave me the ice wrapped in a paper towel. It was very cold but it was definitely helping.
“Maybe we should order delivery for dinner,” Christian suggested.
“That sounds good,” I said to him. We looked in the binder yet again for a place that delivered. Finally we found a nice Chinese restaurant that delivers. We all agreed that we would order from there, picked out what we wanted and ordered. While we waited, Christian read his book, Liliana and I colored in the Zen tangle book, Mom talked to our grandparents and Dad did some work on the computer.
When we got the alert that the food was here Mom sent me and Lil downstairs with the money to get the food.
Mom and Dad had set up a makeshift table and got out paper plates. We all sat down and ate. We made sure to check on the menu for food with no peanut oil. (Peanut oil is pretty common in Chinese food)
